It was here that the Holy Ghost through the gifts of the Spirit separated the missionaries to the gentiles to launch into the Mediterranean (Barnabas' home port) and then into lower Asia minor.
Missionary Journey #1 & #2

Missionary Journey #3
On Paul's 4 year third missionary journey, he worried about the Corinthians but started a bible college in Ephesus. http://153greatfish.website Paul's greatest revival followed Priscilla and Aquila's ministry at the local Jewish synagogue. After baptizing 12 Jewish believers in Jesus' name, Paul stayed to teach in Ephesus. The province of W Asia Minor became filled with the Word of God, the very province God had forbidden Paul to preach on his 2nd missionary journey.
Last Journey of Paul
Some have called this the 4th missionary journey of Paul. But it was really a 9 year prison sentence where Paul was given time to write the majority of the New Testament epistles. http://153greatfish.website But in finality, Paul knew the Romans would execute him for trumped up charges by the Synagogues of Israel. Throughout his ordeal, Paul knew most of what would happen to him including a shipwrech off Fair Havens, Crete. After his Roman trial, only Luke stood with Paul. Everyone else fled or was sent away by Paul toward other mission objectives.
